UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Albanian President Bajram Begaj met in Abu Dhabi to discuss strengthening bilateral ties during President Begaj’s visit to the United Arab Emirates. The leaders focused on exploring opportunities to enhance cooperation in significant sectors, including trade, the economy, renewable energy, technology, and infrastructure.
The discussion underscored the mutual desire to advance shared interests and support economic growth in both nations. As a gesture of appreciation for Sheikh Mohamed’s efforts in bolstering relations between Albania and the UAE, President Begaj awarded him the Grand Star of the Supreme Order of the Eagle, Albania’s highest state honor.
In addition to bilateral issues, the meeting addressed preparations for the upcoming 2026 UN Water Conference, which the UAE will host in December. Both leaders emphasized the importance of global collaboration in tackling sustainability challenges and water-related issues.
The leaders also exchanged views on regional and international developments, reaffirming their commitment to promoting security, stability, and peace through cooperation. This dialogue reflects the ongoing efforts by both nations to engage in constructive partnerships on the global stage.
