Meanwhile, those who manufacture, sell, or distribute devices facilitating piracy could face even harsher penalties, including prison sentences and fines that could reach up to Dh700,000.
In a recent crackdown, Dubai Police apprehended a group accused of hacking into encrypted TV channels and illegally rebroadcasting World Cup matches through various websites and streaming devices. This incident is part of a broader effort by authorities to combat illegal streaming and protect the rights of broadcasters.
