Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has introduced significant traffic diversions around Al Safah and City Walk due to ongoing road development projects. These changes, affecting both Al Satwa Street and Al Multaqa Street, aim to facilitate traffic flow and enhance accessibility in the bustling City Walk area while construction progresses.
The diversions are a crucial part of the Al Safa Street development initiative, designed to improve road connectivity and alleviate congestion. Beyond these local adjustments, Dubai is also advancing a massive Dh2 billion infrastructure project known as the Latifa bint Hamdan corridor. This 12-kilometer project is set to link key roads, including Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Khail Road, among others.
Scheduled for completion by the end of 2028, the Latifa bint Hamdan corridor will feature seven bridges and eight tunnels, collectively extending over 3.2 kilometers. This upgraded infrastructure is expected to accommodate more than 16,000 vehicles per hour traveling in both directions, significantly enhancing the emirate’s transportation network.
