Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi stated that Iran has suspended the agreement, citing the United States’ failure to adhere to the Islamabad declaration of intent. This framework, established in mid-June, aimed to pave the way for a lasting resolution to hostilities between the two nations, with a call for final agreement negotiations within 60 days and included measures for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
