In a significant meeting held in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged in discussions with Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, the Ruler of Fujairah. The talks centered on the UAE’s unwavering commitment to bolster its citizens and further national growth. Both leaders reiterated that the country’s development strategy places Emirati citizens at its core, essential to the achievement of the UAE’s ambitious long-term goals. They also expressed their hopes and prayers for the ongoing security, prosperity, and advancement of the nation.
Sheikh Hamad was joined by his son, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, the Crown Prince of Fujairah, during this important dialogue. The meeting was marked by high-level attendance, including Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. Other notable attendees included Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Sheikh Dr Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, along with several ministers and government officials.
The discussions were part of the UAE leadership’s ongoing efforts to regularly consult and assess national priorities, bolster inter-emirate cooperation, and enhance the quality of life for all citizens and residents. These regular consultations reflect the leadership’s dedication to ensuring that the UAE continues to thrive and evolve in alignment with its strategic objectives.
This meeting follows President Sheikh Mohamed’s visit to Fujairah in April, where he and Sheikh Hamad inspected Fujairah Port. During that visit, they reviewed various development projects and operational improvements at the port, which serves as one of the UAE’s crucial maritime gateways. Such engagements underscore the leadership’s focus on infrastructure development and operational efficiency in key sectors.
