This week, the United Arab Emirates is set to experience a significant rise in temperatures, with certain areas in Abu Dhabi poised to reach highs of up to 48°C. This forecast comes as the region gears up for the peak of summer, as noted by meteorological predictions.

The most intense heat is anticipated on Thursday, particularly in parts of the Abu Dhabi emirate like Mezaira, Gasyoura, and Al Quaa, where temperatures could soar to 48°C. In contrast, Abu Dhabi city itself is predicted to register a slightly lower high of 43°C on the same day.

Dubai, on the other hand, is expected to remain comparatively cooler, with temperatures projected to peak at 40°C on Thursday. This rise in temperature marks a shift from the relatively mild spring season, which was characterized by intermittent periods of unsettled weather.

Recently, temperatures have consistently surpassed 40°C in various parts of the UAE, indicating the imminent arrival of the summer season. Officially, summer in the Northern Hemisphere begins on June 21, and meteorologists forecast that the hot conditions will persist across the region in the upcoming weeks.
