On World Teachers’ Day, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan honored educators for their significant contributions to education and society. He highlighted their role in shaping future generations and fostering the country’s development. Sheikh Mohamed shared a personal memory from 1971, featuring a photograph of himself as a 10-year-old with a thank-you note he had written to his teacher, Ahmad Ibrahim Mandi. This gesture underscored the lasting influence teachers have on students and society.
Joining in the tribute, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, praised teachers for their vital role in developing the nation’s human capital. He emphasized the importance of educators in molding future generations.
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, another prominent leader, reiterated the critical role of education in the UAE’s progress. He acknowledged teachers for their efforts in helping young people build knowledge, confidence, and ambition, which are essential for personal and national growth.
Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan also recognized the pivotal role teachers have played in the UAE’s advancements by promoting knowledge and preparing future generations for the challenges ahead.
In addition, Education Minister Sarah Al Amiri highlighted the fundamental importance of teachers in achieving the UAE’s long-term educational and developmental objectives. She noted that educators are central to realizing the country’s vision for the future.
