The United Arab Emirates has introduced a nationwide campaign designed to rally support and loyalty for President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This initiative, titled “Pledge and Commitment,” underscores his pivotal role in enhancing the nation’s security, stability, and international reputation. Announced by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the campaign took center stage at a large gathering held at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre, which was attended by over 4,800 individuals including citizens, residents, students, investors, academics, and business leaders.
The core objective of the campaign is to spotlight the President’s significant contributions to the UAE’s national development. It is founded on four primary principles: fostering unity and coexistence, drawing inspiration from leadership values, bolstering civic responsibility and national identity, and appreciating the prosperity and stability of the country. The campaign has been extended online, offering a dedicated website and QR code for broader participation, enabling individuals across the UAE to engage digitally.
The initiative is set to be sustained through collaborations with companies, universities, and community organizations, as well as multilingual online activities and public events. This follows a period marked by national solidarity in response to regional security tensions earlier in the year. In a demonstration of patriotism, UAE citizens have increasingly displayed the national flag at homes, offices, and public buildings, echoing the call from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to honor the nation’s resilience and unity.
Those who participate in the pledge digitally receive a downloadable certificate of appreciation, which serves as a token of their expressed loyalty and support for President Sheikh Mohamed. The pledge itself lauds him as a guardian of the nation’s security and a promoter of progress, representing a model of dedication and service to the UAE.
