In a bid to reinforce regional peace and stability, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited Kuwait amid heightened tensions following recent Iranian missile and drone assaults on the Gulf nation. During discussions at Bayan Palace with Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, both leaders emphasized their dedication to enhancing regional security and fostering lasting peace. They also explored avenues to bolster economic and developmental partnerships between their countries.

This diplomatic engagement occurred shortly after Kuwait’s air defenses successfully intercepted a series of hostile incursions, including multiple ballistic missiles, a cruise missile, and several drones launched from Iranian territory. The interceptions led to debris falling in various locations, resulting in one injury and causing material damage, according to official reports.

Kuwait strongly denounced the aggressive acts, characterizing them as blatant violations of its sovereignty and significant threats to regional stability. The Kuwaiti government asserted its right to implement all necessary measures to safeguard its territory, aligning with principles of international law.

The United Arab Emirates’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs echoed Kuwait’s condemnation, extending its support to Kuwait and Bahrain amidst the attacks. The UAE reaffirmed its commitment to standing in solidarity with both nations, underscoring the importance of collective efforts to ensure their security and stability.
